Chapeau Brewing has grown out of a love of beer and an obsession with cycling. Having lived and worked in Alpe d'Huez for several years it was impossible for the cycling bug not to creep under our skin and to be able to combine this with beer, seemed only natural for our brewery. Michael, who has spent 20 years working as a chef, brings an excellent understanding of flavour to his brewing and the recipes he creates. He is relishing swapping his chef's apron for a brewer's one.
We have developed our beers based on what we like to drink ourselves. We hope you'll enjoy drinking them too. We may be pretty average cyclists, but we know what we want to be drinking at the end of a ride!
